Appellation: Puglia I.G.T. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Vintage year: 2008 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Grapes: Selections from our estates Masseria Maime at S. Pietro Vernotico and Bocca di Lupo at Minervino Murge. Negroamaro; Primitivo; Cabernet Sauvignon. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Vinification: The grapes are picked at the right state of ripeness and vinified separately in thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks. The maceration, carried out at a temperature not higher than 26°C, lasts 8-10 days. The malolactic fermentation is completed by the beginning of winter. Afterwards, there is a further fining period in steel tanks (about 8 months) and in bottle (at least 4 months). - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Alcohol level: 13,5 % vol - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Tasting notes: Colour: Intense Ruby Red with violet hues. Aroma: red fruits, black-cherry with light violet notes. Flavour: soft, sapid, balanced acidity, justly tannic. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Serving Temperature: 16 – 18 °C.
